If you are tired of getting tons of “No Name” papers, this resource will effectively help students remember to write their names on their assignments.
It includes:
-Finished Work Bin labels (choice of 4 different colors)
-A sign for your finished work bin that says, “Want to get all the credit and fame? Don’t forget to highlight your name!”
-A sign to prompt students to do a quick self-assessment and highlight their name with a specific color based on their understanding of the assignment:
Green: I understand how to do this.
Yellow: I’d like some more help with this.
Pink: I don’t know how to do this YET.
-Visual posters/references for chants and songs that can be recited before starting an assignment.
Teacher: The first thing you do is always the same.
Students: I pick up my pencil and write my name!
To the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know it”
Teacher: The first thing you need to do is write your name
Kids: Write my name!
Teacher: The first thing you need to do is write your name
Kids: Write my name!
Teacher: Your teacher needs to know, who did this work and so, please do not forget to write your name

Variations of the song are provided for:
-Writing name only
-Writing name and student number
-Writing name and date
-Writing name, student number, and date.
