About

A woman in a light blue dress and yellow cardigan stands smiling by a white railing, with colorful bookshelves filled with books in the background.

Welcome! Pull up a comfy chair, and maybe a glass of wine if you taught today! I am not sure if anyone ever actually reads these “about” sections on websites (especially teachers with little time on their hands), so if you’re here…I am humbled by your interest and would give you a warm welcome of a hug if I could.

I hope you enjoy taking a look around my website! My goal for this site is to share ideas and resources that will hopefully help enrich your classroom, and to put it simply- just help save you some time and make your life easier. I’ve got nothing against hard work, but the phrase “work smarter not harder” rings true when you work in education.

I’ve taught second grade for 15 years, and have always enjoyed creating things to use with my own students. I would often share those things with co-workers to use as well, and one day, someone made a casual comment about how I should try sharing those resources on Teachers Pay Teachers.

That casual comment ended up changing my life…fast forward just a few years later, and creating materials for the classroom has become a huge passion of mine! So much so that I also opened up my own shop here on my website.

A smiling woman with long brown hair, wearing a light blue sleeveless blouse and white skirt, stands indoors holding a book titled Our School is a Family. Colorful shelves are visible in the background.

During this journey, I have also been inspired to write picture books for the classroom. These teacher read alouds have been my works of heart:

Five colorful children's books are arranged on a white surface, perfect for building classroom community. Titles include Our Class is a Family, Collaboration Station, A Letter from Your Teacher, and Our School is a Family.

My hope is that they help teachers with all that they do to build class community and positive relationships with students. I can’t wait to share more picture books with you in the future.

Thanks again for visiting! If you ever have any questions or would like to connect, you can visit my page on Instagram or feel free to click here to fill out my contact form. I’d love to hear from you!
