Description
This baseball-themed resource is a fun and motivating way for students to go through the writing process! Each student has their own ball (with their name or student number attached to a clip/clothespin). Each time they complete one of the steps on the baseball diamond, they get to move their ball to the next step. The baseball “bases” come ready to print, or editable to meet the needs of your students or specific writing program. The student baseballs are ready to print with student numbers (to be able to reuse each school year), or also come editable if you’d like to personalize them with student names.
This resource also includes a visual reference for editing marks, as well as checklists for students to use during “Second Base” of the writing process (editing and revising). When a student finishes a rough draft, have them take out the checklist and use it to go back and edit their draft. These can be laminated for students to reuse each time they edit a piece of writing. Editable checklists are included to be able to customize for your grade level.
