Well, my friends, this is going to be the shortest and sweetest blog post you ever did read! I know we’re all a little extra busy this time of year, so I’ll save you some valuable time and get right down to it.
I threw together a last minute holiday card for students to make for their parents/families. You could easily pair it with a holiday gift you might be having your kids make, or it also works well as a stand alone gift on its own (if you’re currently teaching virtually, I think parents understand that making the usual crafty gifts can be a little hard to swing right now)!
And with that in mind, a “Home for the Holidays” theme seems appropriate for cards this year! You could have your kiddos write a letter to the grown ups they live with, and maybe have them talk about some of their favorite holiday traditions they enjoy doing together at home.
I made both a printable and digital version of the front cover and the writing pages for the inside of the card. If you’re doing distance learning and are able to print physical paper copies to distribute at a drive by materials pick up, parents could receive a handwritten and illustrated card. But I understand that’s not an option for all teachers of course, so I did include a digital version where students can type onto slides if needed.
