This fun and engaging color math Jenga counting game is perfect for spicing up kindergarten math centers or small groups. It contains problem solving and word problems for practicing the skill of counting to tell the number of objects.
This counting practice game can be played in partners or a small group. At the kindergarten level, it is also recommended that the teacher, an aide, parent volunteer, etc. help oversee the game. Students can then get assistance if needed, such as help with reading the problems aloud.
Students take turns rolling the color dice. For whichever color they roll, they select a card with that color. The problem is read aloud, and everyone in the group solves the problem and records their answer on their answer sheets. Students then compare their answers. If the student who rolled the dice answered correctly, they get to move a Jenga block that matches the color of their card.
