Make phonics, reading, and spelling practice fun with these Jenga games for phonemic awareness and language arts!

These sets contain cards for practice with LONG VOWEL PAIRS (for all 5 vowels):

Long a: AI, AY

Long e: EE, EA

Long i: I, IGH, IE, Y

Long o: O, OA, OW, OE

Long u: OO, EW, UE, OU

These cards are to be used with this color Jenga set: Lewo Wooden Stacking Board Games Building Blocks for Kids.

Games can be played with partners or a small group. Students take turns rolling the color dice. For whichever color they roll, they select a card with that color. They read the word aloud, and everyone in the group echos the word. Optional: have students write/spell the word on their recording sheets. The student who rolled the dice gets to move a Jenga block that matches the color of their card.
