Description
These math games create high levels of student engagement and rigor, while providing students practice with telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, and five minutes. Using the classic GUESS WHO game boards, students ask yes or no questions to try and guess what time is showing on their opponent’s mystery clock. It takes a lot of skill to not only formulate questions but also eliminate clocks based on their opponent’s answers. The games are perfect for math centers or early finishers!
PLEASE NOTE: This resource includes templates for an original version of “Guess Who?” sold on Amazon, as well as this specific newer version of the board game: Guess Who on Amazon. Other versions may have different dimensions for the flaps, and therefore the cards will not fit.
This download includes 4 game versions that can be used for differentiation or to switch out as your students progress:
-Telling Time to the Hour and Half Hour
-Telling Time to the Quarter Hour
-Telling Time to the 5 Minutes
-Telling Time (Combination of all games above)
Each of the 4 versions includes:
-Game Board Clock Cards (to fit into the game board flaps)
-Mystery Clock Cards (shows the clock with the time that students are trying to guess)
-4 “Cheat Sheets” for each specific game (a visual reference sheet for students to use if they get stuck thinking of questions to ask). The more they play, the less they will need the Cheat Sheet!
Example questions for students to ask during the game:
“Is the hour hand after the 6?”
“Is it 20 minutes before 8?”
“Is it half past the hour?”
“Is it quarter past the hour?”
“Is it quarter to the hour?”
Please see the preview for all that is included.
